Once a month, we gather upstairs in our big, fancy break room to celebrate the employee birthdays for that month. We get a lot of food for everyone - okay, Doris gets a lot of food for everyone - and we spend an hour eating, talking, and eating. This month, we celebrated the birth of our new hire, Leslie Charania. Our tradition is that the guest or guests of honor get to choose what kind of cake or dessert they’d like. Leslie selected tiramisu. For good measure, Doris also bought a carrot cake, and my personal favorite, ice cream cake. Few things make me happier than something looking like a cake, and ending up being something even better than a cake.

So, it was a pretty good day! Thanks for getting us these delicious desserts, Doris! And thanks to Casey’s chicken for having such a great menu. Check them out if you live in Lake Orion. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LESLIE!

This week, PC Treasures officially hired two people who have been dedicated and reliable temp workers here for over a year. We couldn’t be more excited to have these two wonderful people become full-time employees. It’s so nice to see great things happen to people who deserve it. And now, ladies and gentlemen, I give you Frank Helms and Maria Dragan!

Frank Helms

Frank Helms began working here three and a half years ago, and quickly asserted himself as one of the most valuable temps in PC Treasures history. Not only does he work harder than guys half his age, but he brings a sense of humor to the table that makes even the longest days that much more bearable. Although Frank has admitted to enjoying the occasional time off that he’s received due to his temp status, he has become an essential part of the team whether he likes it or not. Things are noticeably not the same in the warehouse when Frank isn’t around. The days lack a certain energy and humor that only he can bring. Good thing we won’t have to worry about that anymore!

Hobbies: When Frank isn’t stacking the tightest, neatest skids ever assembled in the PC Treasures warehouse, he busies himself as a live entertainer, performing at weddings and other events. He’s entertained many of us on the line with his surprisingly beautiful singing voice.

Lives in: Davison

Kids: 3

Wife: Melonie

Favorite Food: Meatloaf

Favorite Singer: Meatloaf

On Getting Hired: “It’s good to finally be legit. And now, I’m too legit to quit.”

Check out Frank’s wonderful acting in this video, “Wise Frank Explains the PowerNOW! Dual”

Maria Dragan

Maria came to us about a year and a half ago. She immediately showed a high level of professionalism and a work ethic that made her an obvious candidate for a full-time employee. We all knew it was only a matter of time! After slugging it out for about a year on the production line, Maria was recruited as an assistant to Ann in the fulfillment department. Here we are months later, and she is doing that job full-time, much to the delight of all her coworkers. We love Maria for her endlessly charming personality. She can brighten up any day with her optimism and infectious laughter. Oh, and by the way, her last name is pronounced “Dra-gahn,” not “Dragon.” There is nothing at all dragon-like about this lovely lady!

Lives in: Romeo

Kids: 2

Husband: Marian

Favorite food: Italian (even though she’s Romanian)

Hobbies: Painting, Gardening

On getting hired: “Everyone’s been coming up to me and congratulating me all week. They’re happy and I’m happy. And I’m happy for Frank.”

Here’s Maria’s fine acting skills in the sneak preview for one of our unboxing videos:

OUR FAVORITE SPAM (from www.digitaltreasures.com/blog)

Here’s a blog post taken from www.digitaltreasures.com/blog/

This is a new blog. Therefore, I am not surprised that it really has no readership. These things take time. What I do find surprising, though, is the overwhelming amount of spam comments we receive. Every single day there are new ones. I might be upset if they weren’t HILARIOUS. When spambots leave comments, I think the idea is to make it seem like they’re real people who read the articles so that I won’t think it’s spam. So instead of saying something as vague as “Nice work,” they say ridiculously specific things that rarely make sense. Either that, or they swing for the fences and say the most bizarre combinations of words possible. Below, I have posted some of my favorite spam comments. If you enjoy reading them, maybe you can leave us a nonsensical spam comment of your own!

Acai Berries: I like this information and it has given me some kind of need to have success for some cause, so thanks. Moreover I am undoubtedly considering running a blog these details in my very own blog!

Your comment has given me some kind of need to say thanks of some kind, Mr. Berries.

Ptz Camera: Wow! This really is 1 of the most beneficial blogs I’ve ever occur across on this subject. Merely Amazing.

Merely amazing. Don’t get me wrong, it’s amazing. I’m  just disappointed that it wasn’t better than amazing.

Benito Manford: His is my first time i visit here. I found so many entertaining stuff in your.

It is a great fear of mine that I will never find out what the rest of that sentence was going to say. I’m thinking of alerting the authorities to Mr. Manford’s home, as I believe he wrote “your,” then had a stroke and collapsed nose-first on the “post” button.

Inverter GeneratorGreat: News it is surely. We have been awaiting for this update.

This is funny because the comment was written under our “Bags” trailer. If you watch the trailer, you’ll know why it’s ridiculous. News it surely is not.

Reamppekmup: I was unwelcome in the U.S. for four years.

This is obviously sad. I would have included the comment because I want this man or woman or robot to be heard, but I didn’t think the comment really said anything about the blooper video it was written beneath.

Marvis Laws: You gamble for one reason and one reason only: YOU WANT TO WIN. We all want to win. It’s in our DNA… We’re born predators, born to attack and KILL. But when it comes to “gambling” there are only ever two winners - and neither of them are reading this page now For 99.9999% of punters losing is a fact of life. Click my name to see who the real winner is here!

For the record, I did click on his name and it took me to a website that just said, “ME! I AM THE WINNER! NOT YOU! ME! MARVIS! ME, ME, ME! ARE YOU READING THIS, MOM AND DAD?! I WON!”

Ptz Camera: Hi Guy, this good blogs, thanks

Ptz Camera returns! You good friend! You welcome, friend.

Frederico Morency:You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this matter to be really something that I think I would never understand. It seems too complicated and very broad for me. I’m looking forward for your next post, I’ll try to get the hang of it!

This comment was written in reference to a post I wrote entitled “5 Things to Like About Winter.” Maybe Mr. Morency lives in a place where it never snows, and winter is just really a difficult concept for him to grasp. I hope he begins to get the hang of it when he reads my next post, “Winter Is Cold And There’s Lots Of Snow And That’s It, So Relax, Frederico!”

Oczyszczanie Organizmu: The post of content is very interesting and exciting. I learned a lot from here. The content from simple to complex, so all of you can come in.

He’s right, every single one of you can come on in!

Children gone, an empty nest. The clamour of the vibrant noise that once inhabited the now silent home had left with them as they made their own way in the world, their own lives, and their own reflections to stare back at and wonder in other mirrors, in other places. Just not here anymore.

This is what appears to be a beautiful excerpt from a story. I look forward to reading the rest of this author’s work. If you’re interested in checking him out, his name isGay Cam Chat.

Ayanna Murry: Hi, this is a test post!

Hi, Ayanna! Just so you know, it worked!

AND FINALLY, THIS ONE: I have raised her since she was 5 years old when her mother and I married.

Now this was an interesting comment because it was in reference to a post I wrote about Shauna Nicholson, who helped us out here with our social media strategy. The post talked about how great Shauna is, and I read this comment thinking it was actually her father writing. I thought, how sweet, Shauna’s Dad saw this post about his daughter and decided he needed to share a fact with us about who raised her. That’s weird. But then I looked at the name of the commenter. Some fellow namedWebcam Girls. Shauna’s last name is Nicholson, not Girls. Nice try, Webcam!

We have over a hundred comments like these. It can be pretty depressing when the blog tells me there are nine new comments and every single one of them ends up being nonsensical and cryptic. You know what would be great? JUST ONE HONEST COMMENT FROM SOMEONE WHO ACTUALLY READ THE POST AND HAS SOMETHING NICE OR CONSTRUCTIVE TO SAY. Is that so much to ask, internet?  Anyway, thanks for reading, everyone. Maybe Marvis Laws is right. There are only two winners. But I’d like to think at least one of them is reading this page.
